I MISS YOU AFRO-DANCE_04

I wanna use this post to write about all the things that I miss. Is a mix of feelings by the pandemic times, the confinement and this new virtual reality. One of the things that I miss of the "normal life", are the class of "afro-dance" what was Ana Allende doing in the university. I liked this class for many reasons, but mainly because the dance (something that never I been do before) allowed me to re-found to me and re-define the relationship with my body and how I moved by the space.

Imagen relacionadaThis was important to me, because was a way to care about my health, but besides, -in a feminist context-, puted to me the question about the hegemonic body models in woman, what which included re-thinking how I understand to be a woman, and what I wanted to do, by to feel me confortable myself body.  The class in this context (and because having only one or two man inside), was a moment where women, we canned see us like equal people and share the dance in comfort and freedom.

Also I liked this class, because I canned knowed much afro music, which Ana used, to invited us to travel across diferents rhythms from afro latin american, where each one was have a special energy and movements.

For all this reasons, I miss the afro dance what made me feel so relaxed and happy after, by spend my time to learn something new.
